CASE STUDIES
In July 1998 22 year old 'Dill' a 14.2hh Arab / Welsh mare slipped on the road and fell on to the tarmac surface removing the skin and flesh to the bone on both knees. Following a two month period of healing under veterinary instructions the owners were advised that it would be wise to retire Dill as the damage to her knees was so significant that this coupled with the arthritis already present in her knees and fetlocks and the formation of high ringbone in her forelegs would mean that it would be impossible to keep her sound and pain free without the aid of Phenylbutazone. Two weeks after this diagnosis the owner dicsovered Gygax Magnotherapy Products. Riley, an 8 year old TB / Irish Draught gelding was struck by a vehicle and suffered severe trauma to his nearside scapula and off side stifle and hock joint. His scapula healed badly resulted in his shoulder being permanently displaced by 2" to the outer aspect. Whilst not lame, Riley was very reluctant to work in anything other than a straight line and a slow trot and demonstrated his discomfort by continuously bucking. His damaged hind leg was stiff and prone to filling overnight. Riley's present owner acquired him with these problems as he was due to be destroyed due to the fact that he became virtually unrideable and temperamentally unpredicatable.
